Beyond the ordinary

Who I Am
For most of my life, I was almost always at the pinnacle of everything I did.
I made rooms laugh.
I created energy.
I delivered – consistently, visibly, relentlessly.
And from the outside, it worked.
Behind the scenes, it cost more than I realized.
By my forties, I was battling depression, while trying to project that I was doing great, traveling constantly, and measuring success by how many people I fooled into thinking that everything was so easy for me and everything that I did was a success.
The problem wasn’t work ethic.
It wasn’t ambition. It was my new inner depressed and confused identity.
I had lost my drive, confidence and motivation. I had previously tied my identity with performance and performance with worth.
That confusion is far more common among high-performing people that hide and ignore warning signs of spiraling downwards than most people admit.

The Breaking Point I would Rarely Talk About
At the height of my career, I was:
-
Doing over 20 nutritional trade shows a year
-
Working 60+ hours a week behind the scenes
-
Getting approved for a patent on a nutritional supplement at the age of 28
-
Married, raising kids, and striving to hold it all together
From the outside: successful.
On the inside: depleted.
My health suffered.
My marriage felt the strain.
No matter how much I did, it never felt like enough.
That’s when I realized something most ambitious achievers never stop to question:
You can win on paper and still lose yourself in the process.

The Shift That Changed Everything
This is the shift I ignored and skipped skipped – and paid for later.
The turning point wasn’t a new strategy.
It was a redefinition.
I stopped anchoring my identity in performance and began rebuilding from personal worth.
That shift changed:
-
How I made decisions
-
How I led under pressure
-
How I showed up at home
-
How I measured success
Today, I don’t claim perfection – but I live with:
-
Greater clarity
-
Fewer self-inflicted fires
-
Deeper presence
-
More sustainable energy
And most importantly: alignment between who I am and how I lead.
That’s the work I now do with others.
Why People Hire Me
I don’t coach theory.
I coach lived experience – translated into practical frameworks.
My background gives me a rare vantage point:
-
I understand performance pressure from the inside
-
I know what it takes to command a room
-
I know how easily people can lose themselves chasing results
Leaders work with me when they want:
-
Clear thinking without burnout
-
Confidence without ego
-
Results they actually respect
If this resonates, we should talk.
A Performance Background That Serves Everyday People and Leaders
Before coaching and speaking, I spent over 37 years as a natural bodybuilder while earning my degrees in nutrition and physiology.
I’ve:
-
Been one of the largest natural bodybuilders in the country
-
Had a patent on a capsule for a nutritional supplement
-
Won an award for The Best Of Columbus, (Ohio) Fitness Coaching and personal training website in 2014
-
Been a part of of the largest nutrition and fitness trade shows in the world
That background isn’t a novelty – it’s an asset.
It taught me:
-
How to read a room
-
How to create psychological safety
-
How to engage people from diverse backgrounds without posturing
-
How to tell stories that land – not just impress or be cute
When I speak, I don’t motivate.
I activate what is already in the audience.
